 How Does an Umbrella Work?

The limits on your Auto policy is $300,000.  If you are in a horrible car accident that results in a fatality or worse yet multiple fatalities.  So depending on 1 person suing you or multiple persons that $300,000 will be exhausted quickly.  Your Auto Policy will pay up to $300,000 and your umbrella will pay up to the limit you have purchased such as $1,000,000.  This is also true of the Home Owners Policy and a home owner's claim.
